Software Developer

BreakPoint Labs is seeking a Software Developer to work remote.  This position will support the development, maintenance and operation of a mission critical application. The technology stack includes a containerized Ruby in Rails application supported by a PostgresQL database that runs within an AWS environment. A DevSecOps software development methodology is employed to provide real time updates to the production environment.  Please note, due to contract requirement, a Top Secret Clearance is required.

Responsibilities include:

• Utilizing GitLab for DevSecOps (CI/CD) pipeline, branching, merging, and code reviews
• Design and test code features in Ruby
• Troubleshoot and debug issues within the development and production environments (Linux-based)
• Manage the orchestration of technology stack through the use of Docker/docker compose

Required Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Required Experience:

• Proven experience as a software developer
• Experience with Docker/containers and docker compose
• Solid understanding of Linux operating system fundamentals
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and teamwork is a must

Required Certifications:  Security+ Continuing Education (CE) [CompTIA]
